I grew up in my dad's computer shop in Dubai, taking things apart to see how they worked. That curiosity never left — it just changed shape over time. From tinkering with LEGO, to Hackintosh builds, to designing game skins and sharing them in online forums, I was always building something new.

I studied Business Technology Management with a Marketing minor — not design. I never saw design as a career back then, just a hobby I couldn't shake. So I poured that energy into campus clubs, designing campaigns and event materials for the marketing course union. That business lens became the best design education I never planned for.

After university, I quit my agency job within two weeks to bet on myself. I spent three months building case studies for apps that didn't exist yet — Apple Authenticator, Apple Carrier, and Apple Maps. Those projects caught the attention of Apple's design leadership and landed me a contract position on the Schoolwork app.

Then I moved from Toronto to Los Angeles for a full-time role on Apple TV and Sports. Five years later, I've shipped 70+ features across Apple TV, Apple Sports, and Schoolwork — products used by millions. Still that kid taking things apart, just putting them back together at a different scale — in pixels and, just recently, code.
